The advantage of a diaphragm pump (plastic pump) is its stroking action, where an internal rubber diaphragm is used to draw in the fluid. The diaphragm pump is available in two materials: Polypropylene and PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride). Polypropylene is suitable for industrial applications in the chemical, food, paint, metal, and wastewater treatment industries. PVDF, on the other hand, offers superior resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids and bases. It can withstand high temperatures and has higher abrasion resistance compared to Polypropylene.
